In response to the growing demand for beauty services and the expanding range of treatments offered, I was tasked with redesigning the generic David Jones beauty rooms for future store rollouts. The primary objective was to create a clean, warm, and comfortable environment that enables staff to perform treatments safely, efficiently, and with confidence.
The final design achieves these goals through the use of earthy tones, sound-dampening materials, recessed dimmable cove lighting, and dedicated sound systems to support a calm and private atmosphere. In addition, health and safety guidelines across various states were thoroughly reviewed and fully integrated into the final design to ensure compliance and consistency nationwide.
